VAT Modernisation & eInvoicing – Phase One Scope Confirmed (February 2026)
Revenue published the list of large corporates in scope for Phase One of VAT eInvoicing (effective 1 November 2028). Large B2B suppliers must issue eInvoices and report data to Revenue. Full guidance available on Revenue.ie.
Budget 2026 – Key Carry-Over & 2026 Changes
No major rate increases, but important adjustments:
• 2% USC band ceiling raised to €28,700
• PRSI employee rate to 4.35% and employer to 11.40% from October 2026
• R&D Tax Credit rate increases to 35% for periods ending after 31 Dec 2026
• CGT Entrepreneur Relief lifetime limit now €1.5 million
• Rent Tax Credit extended through 2028

• Corporation Tax return (CT1) & preliminary tax – October 2026 (for year-end Dec 2025 companies)
• First B1 annual return – due 6 months after incorporation date for new companies
• VAT returns – quarterly or bi-monthly deadlines ongoing
